Frank Covino will be in the studio Jan. 5th for a weeklong workshop in Classical Academic Art.

Congrats to the Cary Fine Arts people juried into the State Fair:  10yr. old Natalie won 1st place in the Individual Student competition, Anusha is displayed in the 4-6 yr. old competition.  Beth Reece won 3rd place in the Professional Artists competition, and Joyce Jolly, Lilli Early, Karen West, Aura Maus, and Rhonda Myers were juried into the Professional Artists competition.

Learn to draw or paint people, places or things, and to market your work.  12 month course, $2400.  Classes scheduled evenings, weekends, and summers with assignments between classes.

Service Project:

Mural Project for Children's Hospital.  14 artists will join us for a Sat. and Sunday Paint-In, sponsored by Jerry's Artarama.  Each artist will have a 24x48 canvas that will be combined to create a large 8'x14' mural of the rainforrest.  Jerry's will supply the materials and Northern Durham High School's Drafting Deptartment will draw out each of the 14 panels for the artists.  Jerry's will have their film crew there to document the whole process.   Also, artist will be hiding "Little Jerry" images throughout each panel.
